5 things that are true: Rachel

Rachel listed five things that were true and it was hard to find one that I could argue against because they were all pretty personal.  The truth that I chose was "I want to lead more than an okay life." The idea of what makes an "okay" life is socially constructed.  We tend to picture the ideal life as having the perfect spouse, living in a nice house in a nice neighborhood, having a couple of great kids, some cars, and going to a job we love every day.  Society tells us that in order to achieve a life that's above okay we need to have lots of money, maybe even be famous, a big house, fancy cars, and a high paying job, but is this really what Rachel wants?  Maybe her ideal life is to travel the world helping the poor or have a job that doesn't pay to well, but that she looks forward to going to every morning.  Does she really want to lead the socially constructed version of an above average life or does she want to live out her dreams?
